Mag trigger pull Question

can anyone tell me what has a greater affect on the trigger pull

the On off Pin or the Bolt?

also what takes more distance to move?

because i can shorten and lighten one of them....but im wondering what gains will be had by it

Probably the on/off pin, but there are many variables:
strength of bolt spring
LVL 10 kit tuning
input pressure and velocity if RT valve
velocity if classic valve
ULT kit
etc.

the on/off has the most effect which is where you get the ult kit for mags.

Doesn't the ULT kit require an RT X or E valve?

yeah, sortof. sometimes you can get it to work in classic valves though.

Though from what I understand dropping a rt on/off into a classic valve can be like adding a ult to rt or x valve.

The feel of the shot is mostly due to the reciprocating mass of the bolt. The on/off and valve have the most effect on the trigger pull and the RT effect on your finger.

One thing I love about how a mag shoots is that she "talks" to you. There's actually a response feel in the gun. Not a kick, or recoil, but a reaction both in the marker itself, and in the trigger resetting. Very unique feel.

I've dropped RT on/offs in a couple of my Classic valves and have been happy with them so far. Of course, the possibility of short-stroking is a lot higher, so you have to watch yourself, and using a higher-feed rate hopper is a must. I won't run anything less than a Ricochet Apache on any of them, and they're still all mechanical.

IMO the best thing you can do is run an I frame on your classic and call it a day. All of the other On off's just make the gun weird.

Apparently the most effective way of using the rt on/off is with luke's sear mod.

Lukescustoms.com

he modifies yor sear so that the trigger pull is shorter but its also heavier. The rt on/off will then make the pull lighter.

So were all saying the On Off makes the pull harder more than the Bolt?
