Yeah, if I get an E-Mag, I'm definitely XMODding it. Is the cable a standard USB or Firewire type cable?

I believe it's USB.

I guessed that, I was more looking to see if it's a fairly standard cable, like the kind used for digital cameras or MP3 players or printers or such.

I think it's a standard A-B plug.

Out of curiosity, is an X-Mag essentially just an E-Mag with the different body (Adjustable breech and such), X-Valve and Lv 10 and different software?

My mag knowledge is very limited, but if I'm not mistaken, they also have eyes, where as normal e-mags don't. Also, the Xmag body has the rail incorporated in it.

You have two kinds of emag lowers, ULE and non ULE (has the humps on the grips). The body or body/rail combo make the emag what it is. Example being my E-Tac. It has the Tac body. X-Mag has the X body (no rail needed). You can use most valves and any software (AGD or XMod) with the emags. The X-Mags also have ACE (anti-chop eyes) and an on/off switch. Other emags use a battery pin to turn it on and off.

The Xmag is a 'uni-body', meaning unlike all other AGD markers (Except the ptp micros) it does not use a body rail.

It also has the ACE sensor, which is pretty much useless with the lvl10. The nice thing about it though is that there is a switch you can use to turn the gun on and off. The emag requires one of those stupid yellow pins to interrupt the battery.

I've been researching mags more since y'all pointed me down the path on this thread, and the more I look into them, the less interested I've become in the Tac-One body.

But, from what I can tell, no bodies other than the ULE are really readily available new anymore.

Is RPG gone and out of business, or are they just really slow to restock their dealers?
