Whatever happened to the E-Tac?

I've been casually considering the purchase of an E-Tac, after falling in love with one of my teammate's 'mags. Upon browsing over to the AGD website, however, they no longer seem to be available.

Is this a permanent thing, or just a temporary out-of-stock issue?

Thanks guys!

Emags haven't been produced for a while now, man.

Try Tunaman, he's got plenty of sets of lowers, and you can have one made for about $950 I believe.

I claim no understanding of AGDs product history - I just could have sworn seeing them sometime last year on the website. Then again, from what I understand, the website was woefully outdated.

Thanks! I'll check with Tunaman (At least, once I'm done putting cash aside for a H8TR...)

They're listed on the website as "not availible". Due to the fan following, they still keep pictures around (perhaps in the vain hope that SP will stop throwing lawsuits around), and by law they're required to keep servicing them (which they'd do anyway).

I wasn't trying to insult your paintball knowledge; just letting you know that it's been a while.

Anyway, Tunaman is probably more influential in the world of automags these days anyway; while AGD continues to function, it's really a shadow of it's former self. All the spirit and quality is still there, but it's become to small to have anything really innovative be created.

I didn't take it as an insult at all! I'm the first to admit that my knowledge of Automag-ery is, shall we say, limited.

'Mag's (much like 'cockers) for me have this long, storied history of changes, upgrades, and tomfoolery that confuse the heck outta me - especially as I came into appreciating them a bit late in the game.

When I first started playing, I desperately wanted one, but was a broke highschool student - and now that I'm a bit less broke, I've missed a lot of history.

You could just get the body and rail for a Tac One and then mount them onto E mag lowers . That's essentially what the E-Tac is.

Please forgive me for another moment of noobish-ness...

What comprises a set of E-mag lowers?

It's a whole package-E-Mag frame and battery pack. You never see them seperate.

Basically, this:

Plus this:

Roughly equals this, minus all the extra stuff Warwitch had on it:
