Intelliframes??

I picked up a Mag with an Intelliframe and Level 10 bolt.

What can you tell me about the frame? It doesn't seem to take a battery. What is the point behind them? Do they control a hopper, at least that is what I gather from what I have read.

Also, the guy said that the bolt needs some fine tuning. Are these things finicky?

The Intelliframe is desired because it has a mounting bracket inside the gripframe that allows for a switch (to run a hopper, warpfeed, etc), pneumatics, or whatever. Plus it is milled out of aluminum and very lightweight.

The Level 10 bolt usually only needs fine tuning when it is installed on a different valve, if the powertube o-ring is replaced, or if the powertube spring is changed to a different length. Once it is tuned though, usually doesn't need anything more than proper oiling to work like a dream.

Learning more and more about Mags everyday.

The idea behind the intelliframe was to mount a switch in the frame that would active a revi on every pull. Here's a link to the manual.
The revi could still operate as normal and still run off it's internal batteries.

As for the lvl 10, they can be finicky at first, but once the o-rings break in they get more consistant. AO's got a pretty good faq on setup and break-in info here.

I just was wondering what people could add for me.

So the Intelliframe does not need it's own battery? It runs off that of the hopper? It does seem to be a very comfortable frame.

Nope, nope, nope, you're looking at it all wrong.

The Intelliframe doesn't take a battery. It's all mechanical.

An added bonus to the frame is that you can add a switch that will be activated by your trigger that will pulse your warp or revy so you're only running your warp or revy when you fire.

The frame is not electronic at all.

the switch mounting point is also super-convenient for putting in a pneumatic 3-way (not an Autococker 4 way) for the purpose of pneumagging.

The reason the I frame was desirable was not only for its intellifeed features. When it came out there were not really any good alternative 2 finger trigger frames for the mag, heck, there still arent any alternative .45 frames for the mag.

The dye frames were a bit funky, and the benchmark frames were way funky. When AGD made one, it sold like hotcakes and is now just about standard on all mags. The 2x trigger action makes it a lot easier to shoot faster, since you can share the labor of the trigger pull between 2 fingers. Its basic.

Great frame.
