If I'm not mistaken, isn't the side of the classic rail, a dovetail???
That was how the sidecar was mounted, correct?
Sighting down the side might not be your cup of tea though.

Yup. I think Secretweaponevan mentioned it but removed the comment after seeing the question asking about weaver mounts. Then the OP removed the word weaver and made it any mount. This whole thread is flipmode.

Talk to noxx55. He can build you a mag rifle from the ground up with classic valve for around $350. A little extra if you want weaver mounts.

Mine will be a good deal more, but I'm having him really go the distance with it (pneumag, X-valve, L10, etc.), but base rifle (which is pretty tight, and is what sold me on the mag rifle) is around $350 (or less if you supply some of the parts).

Classic mag rails are sort of dovetailed.. they arent completely normal iirc.
