How many of those did buy new? How many other people do you think go out and buy a new classic valved mag to find out if they like the design?

I ask becasue I know I didn't do that, I bought used ones, bought them cheap and then upgraded the ones I liked and sold the ones I didn't (well then sold all of them, not that I haven't thought about getting another)

That is what I was thinking as well.

2 were brand new in the box, one was brand new from a store with no box (wall hanger field rental), and 3-4 were used.

I see you point, my first mag was used, but there definitely is still a market for the non RT valves, IMO...

Too many people such as my self using CO2, too many people who prefer the consistency of the classic valve instead of the RT valve that suffers from mild "shoot-up", and too many people who don't want to spend twice as much on a valve for the RT effect they don't need.

However, I would be totally interested in an aluminum or partly aluminum classic valve

ok fair enough, with how cheap classic valves are right now I think that the biggest market to deal with them would be replacement parts, rebuild kits and upgrades for them. I can't say that no one buys new classic valved mags, but I would say that the vast majority of the classic valves are bought used not new.

The optimistic side of me is think that they are finally running out of stainless steel bodies and going to switch over to Aluminum bodies, it's much easier to deal with one body than two from a logistic point, the pessimistic side is thinking that they are just finally running out of bodies.

I'm sad to see twist locks not be readily available in all options new, it truly was, in my opinion, one of the best barrel mounting systems made.

I think if AGD started making classic valves out of aluminum, which is both cheaper and easier to cut, they could sell a very basic dumbed down ULE with aluminum classic valve and knock a lot of market share out of Kingmann and Tippmann's hands in the cheap mechanical market.

My take on your conversation: "We're going out of business and what we have is all we're gonna have."

I'm the glass is half empty kind of guy where others see the glass as half full. Each personality looks at the same sentence and gets two entirely different meanings from it.

Only time will tell....

I hate those twist lock barrels, thats the first thing that has to go.
A ULE body and a decent cocker barrel are mandatory.

If you did a poll of Automag owners about what their dream mag is,
it would be such a small percentage of people that include twist lock
bodies and barrels, it would be hard to count. Especially if the poll was on AO.

I would say like I said before, AGD is slimming down the inventory.
Stocking what sells. And Classics / twistlocks were slow movers.
Just my guess.
