I'm almost in agreement with going_home about the ULE/autococker body barrel thing.....almost

it would be 100% if i didn't love my twist lock crown point barrel so damn much. It came on my first mag back in 1994 and i still to this day think its the most accurate barrel i have ever used on a mag.

I don't care what everyone's dream mag is, twist lock barrels are still my favorite system and I am sad to see those go.

Everything else I care about AGD selling to the masses, but I love twist locks.

What might be ideal is ditch the powerfeed, and include a cocker threaded adapter with each new mag sold. Do either centerfeed or right/left feed, but not powerfeed. With the cocker adapter you have the option of using cocker threads or older style twist lock barrels

As cool as Twistlock is it is a lot of material and longer manufacturing process. It's is just not feasible for the downsized AGD to spend that kind of resources to make a stock barrel every throws away as soon as they can.

I like their stock barrels! I keep all mine!

I see your point, and I knew that. Just as twist lock couldn't really take off because you have to design the whole marker body around it...

But I still think they're the best design, and I am still sad to see them go.

Agreed. There's a thread on AO about all the stuff AGD "should" be doing, like buying factories and marketing plastic electros to the kiddies. As long as they stay open and keep making replacement parts, downsizing is fine by me.

Doubt it. AGD has never been the kind to outsource work overseas, I'd be surprised if whoever answered the phone had never played paintball. Even their "OfficeGal" played from time to time, IIRC.

Thirded. Love the twist-locks, plus powerfeed lets me go from my Qloader to my Revvy without changing anything more than the powerfeed plug.

Let's just have them fix it where you can order either twistlock or cocker threads on your brand stinkin' new ULE body. Or have a factory-built adapter from TL to cocker available...... the only problem I have noticed with the ones that are out there is that there are simply not enough of them.

I forsee sales going through the roof at that point.

unfortunately an aluminum classic valve would be as expensive as an X valve and therefore would not sell at all.

I hope they stick around.

The only reason classic valves are so cheap is because just before Tom left AGD he slashed prices by almost 40% across the board and old inventories like classic valves were probably has been long written off as a tax deduction.

There's pretty much no point in making twist-lock bodies anymore. If there are no twist-lock barrels being made, why bother making twist-lock bodies?
