Efficiency

Just got a quick question for all of you. I did some research but couldn't find any recent/accurate data on this. I was wondering how many shots I could expect to get of a 48/4500 tank(45/45 stats are welcome as well of course)

rule of tumb is for 3k is 10 times the ci so a 68 would give 680
4.5k is 15 times the ci so a 68 would give 1020

give or take a few depending on your marker.

so a 45/45 would be in the 675 range

The gun you are using makes a huge differance but thats a good rule of thumb above.

It would be an Emag with Lvl 10 Xvalve. Those are some pretty rough numbers. Hmmmm.

Mags are quite efficient as per the amount of gas it takes to shoot each ball, they just can't dip into the tank as far as a lower pressure marker, so you get a wierd sort of trade-off. Less gas used per shot, but pressure of tank plays way more into how many rounds you can shoot.

I run 4, 140 tubes and a 200 round hopper on the same gun setup with a 4500/68. That's 760 rounds without needing to fill. I rarely get a full 4500 fill either. Those are real world numbers for a L10 X-Valved E-Mag, so you can figure a bit from that.

I can get 1000 off of a 68/4500 fill, +/-. My Emags can also cycle into the 600-700 psi range. Shortening the on/off pin is a tremendous help with cycling at lower input pressure on the emags. Where on a mech mag, the gun would run away, on the Es the noid stops the sear.

The specific tank reg you are using, also makes a world of difference. Dynaflows and Crossfires are by far the best.
