| I sofaking retodd id Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Oshawa, Canada | Okay so tonight was the first time I have put some paint through my mag. Not good I am getting a shoot down effect. Single shots a second apart, no problem. As soon as I speed up the shots velocity is dropping. Now the tank I have is probably around an 1/8 th of a tank (co2) but I am not having this problem when I switch the tank to my cocker. Any ideas? Now this week I am going to go and have all my tanks filled but I am wondering if there could be a problem I should look into or maybe just a low tank. |

It will look like a small bronze sponge, and it screws into one end of the cable. They were supposed to catch any small particulate matter that might get into your gun from dirty gas. What they really did was critically choke your airflow. If you have one of those, unscrew it and toss it into your gearbox to rot. You don't need it.

| I sofaking retodd id Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Oshawa, Canada | Robert I took all the lines off and no filter. So my question is what would cause a shoot-down effect on a mag? I am wondering about the expansion chamber that came with this mag. It is stamped mfg by Taso and on the bottom it says Benchmark Manufacturing Inc. Lot 102. Can anything go wrong with an expansion chamber to restrict airflow? |

Also the size of your bottle along with temperature can make a differnce. A smaller bottle say a 10 oz will chill quicker causing shoot down where as a 20 or 24 oz bottle will not have that issue.

| I sofaking retodd id Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Oshawa, Canada | Okay so I used a 9 oz the first time I noticed this. Now I also have a 12 oz I could use. Now about the expansion chamber any ideas on a cleaning method for the internal or should I attempt a tear down? |

I would think a 24-48 hour soak in a degresser bath with a good rinse and flush with some pressurised air blown through to dry the interior might be good. But I personaly have never need to do it. You may also want to check the reg backs guts and clean and grease them to make sure everything is proper some else was have some issues and it ended up the spring pack came apart in his hand when he took the reg apart to clean it.
