![]() I'm still having issues cycling. Using the one ring carrier (the one that was originally installed and working fine) now causes a leak down the barrel. Changing o-rings on it has no affect. Adding/removing shims seems to have no affect. One dot carrier does not leak but has too much drag. With the one dot bolt only moves 1/3 to 1/2 stroke and chuffs. Using the L7 spring lets the gun shoot with the one dot but isn't strong enough to push the bolt back far enough to reset the sear if the anti-chop engages. Both LX springs are too strong to use combined with the one dot carrier. Chopped off 1/4" sections on the mid spring but was never able to find a sweet-spot that let the gun shoot without the reg venting but still reset the bolt correctly.

Remove all LVL 10 shims. Pick 1 carrier o-ring and stick with it. Use oil. Use #2 carrier (2 lines, no dots. It may leak until o-ring is broken in, or chuff. This is fine). Shoot 1000 shots to break in o-ring. Move broken-in o-ring to largest carrier that doesn't leak. Use red spring for 285 fps. If bolt sticks after encountering a jam, add a shim. Good luck and post back. Very clean looking setup you have there.

You might have to fiddle with your frame screws. A too tight or sometimes even a too loose screw on certain body/rail combos can impede the bolt's travel.

| Active Member | Changed the outer o-ring on the one ring carrier just to be thorough since it had previously been working with no leak. I have a 1.5 though I don't believe I've tried it. Swapped out perfect looking inner o-ring with spare and attempted to follow instructions using 2 ring, got violent leak down barrel, reverted straight back to one ring. Might be worth a shot to try the 1.5 just to be thorough. I filled two 68s and an 88 to 4200 so I should have enough air to try and peg this down.

The McMaster -008 batch I bought are tight even on my 2.5 carriers (I don't have any larger than that). If you want to try a substitute, the o-ring that goes between the valve pin and that little brass crown in the regulator is the same size as the carrier ring. Quote:
Inside the reg piston there's a setscrew, spring and urethane disk. The setscrew compresses the spring which forces the urethane disk against the small hole on the pressure side of the piston. On mine, something broke down the threadlocker on the setscrew inside, which allowed it to back off and the piston to leak at much too low a pressure. I think I'm going to reassemble it and "fix" it so it will never leak, no matter what. I'm not going to run CO2, and it's hard to contrive another instance where it would need overpressure relief.

| what is the callout on the carrier o-rings? as in how are they spec'ed and where can you get them?

And if you need a level 10 installation CD let me know. Best 25.00 I ever spent was on that scuba tank. I use it for testing stuff a lot. And its only 4.00 to get it filled.
