Jumping in with both feet

I just received my mag (thanks punkncat, it's awesome!). However, I have run into a quandary that I cannot resolve myself. So, I need your expert opinions. My mag has the Pariah body, Dallara rail, Level 10, X valve and is a combination of stock parts throughout the rest. I separately picked up a Logic frame. Here's my problem, the Logic frame overlaps the foregrip mount by about 1/4". Are there smaller foregrip mounts? Or, do I need to get a different rail? I'd hate to loose the Dallara, it looks great and is already milled for pneumatics, which is my eventual goal. I could go with one of the foregrip extenders, but IMHO, most of them are not the most attractive of items, plus, that would be extra $ that I really wasn't planning to spend. What do the Mag gods recommend?

I'm guessing it's a Logic UMF frame you have? If so they are meant to be used with RT/Emag length rails. The Dallara rail is made from AM/MM rails which are shorter.

I love my UMF frames, I have two. Maybe a Y-Grip ! Or keep an eye out for a rail on the B/S/T's.

Oh, be nice. There's nothing wrong with an extender .

However, I don't believe one would help you. The reason I say this is because the extender takes up about the same rail space as the vert adapter. If your frame is still flush against the rail that far forward, it probably won't work. I'd have to see it to be sure, though.

I might have an interesting idea if you're mechanically inclined, though. What if you were to run a piece of flat steel straight forward from the bottom of your frame, and mount a vert adapter to it upside-down? Your foregrip would be upside-down also, but depending on the grip it'd look pretty sweet, IMHO.

Anyway, good luck! Hope this helps.

One thought I had awhile back was to file/mill a vert adapter some so you had a flat side. Then drill and tap it so it could be mounted to the front of the trigger guard on a UMF frame. Kinda like the VA on a Phantom.

You most likely wouldn't be able to run air through the VA but no biggie really. Just run the air from the ASA to the valve.

I've modded a stock rail to have a VA as well as a Logic frame. You just have to drill and sink a new hole to mount.

I'm not sure on your particular rail, but it shouldn't be too hard a process if you have the room up front.

You should get a different frame. UMF's are too big, and your pariah is essentially a "short rail only" body because of the way is it machined.

Best option is to sell the body and rail and get longer ones if that is your fancy.

I'll have to break down the marker again, but I don't think that there's enough room to drill a new hole for the VA. I actually like the size of the UMF, I have larger hands so it'll feel great, the single trigger frame it came with was a perfect fit for my wife. I bought one of Luke's foregrip extenders. I think that I should be able to mount the UMF on my existing rail and modify the extender to fit the space in front of the frame. As long as the sear lines up, it should be okay.

Wink

Either get a new rail or leave the vert frame on it.
The Logic UMF was made for RT Pro length rails.
The Dallara is an Automag/Minimag length rail (shorter).
The Logic UMF is THEE best mech mag frame without a doubt but if you
are trying to achieve a certain look and desire to keep the Dallara,
the UMF is not going to work for you. I wouldnt bung up a nice rail to
be honest. I hate seeing someone hack up a rail for a warp feed body.
Its almost painful to me to see a hacked rail.

I'm not going to touch the rail. It's been milled for Pneumaggery by a previous owner, and that's all that I will allow to happen to it. It's too pretty to hack at. The foregrip extender on the other hand, well, I can't say that it is going to continue to exist in quite the same condition as it will arrive in.

That's the spirit!
You know, it always amazes me how much money we will spend to avoid altering another part.
