| Active Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Kansas City, MO | double-trigger frames So I want to put a double-trigger frame on the PTP Micromag body-knockoff I purchased a while back. I picked up a Benchmark frame that isn't the right color (chrome is what I'm going for, to match the theme of the rest of this build) and the trigger itself has an extreme amount of side-to-side slop in it, which makes this particular frame a no-go. Now, I've been looking at Intelliframes as they have rave reviews about them from all who've used them, but even used they still run $75 or more, and that's if you catch the deal sooner than everyone else, so I'm looking for alternatives that a) have chrome as a color option, and b) don't have a gross amount of trigger slop. One of them is a DYE double trigger frame I found on eBay and have watched through it's first auction, and now it's relist (take a look here), so I'm asking you guys what you think of the DYE trigger frames. Are these frames comparable to the I-frames in quality and durability? Is this a good buy? Thanks!

I think I'll just put a bid in on that DYE frame and see how it works. SpawnSharks - thanks for the offer, but I've never been a large fan of the guardless grip frames. Other than that, it'd probably fill my needs, but this marker, out of all my other projects, has to not only be very functional but also possess a certain look. Trust me, when this is all done, this is going to be one sweet looking little micromag knockoff.

The Intelliframe is worth the money, in my opinion. It feels better in your hand, has a crisper feel when shooting, and was made by the same company that made the automag to begin with. |

| Active Member | Benchys are terrible in my opinion. I tried one out and decided it wasn't worth the $9 the guy was asking. Tons of slop, really long pull and it lacked any of the "snap" that I liked in my Minimag. Intelliframes are pure quality, though. AGD always makes good stuff. |

It reminds me of my first car (1979 Datsun 210 station wagon... oh yeah, that was a chick magnet *rolls eyes*) as the gearing was so loose that unless you were familiar with the car, you thought the shifter was in neutral even though it was in gear. Just unacceptable level of slop for this beauty of a paintmarker I'm building up. Well, I tried to get that DYE frame on eBay, but the bid got pushed past my comfort zone, so I left off and lost the auction. Not many other Dye frames to be had, so I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and pick up an Intelliframe. Now, there's plenty of I-frames running around for sale on the boards, but they're all black in color and I need a chrome one. Not a black one that has had the anno ground off of it so it's the base aluminum gray, nor do I want to spend money to have one stripped and chromed - I need an honest-to-God chrome I-frame. So, back to hunting the F/S/T boards and eBay.
