Using 12 grams on a Automag...

I'd like to use 12 grams on my Automag, how many shots would I get off one? I'd like to have a gas system where both a bottle and 12 gram are hooked up to the marker (so if I run out of gas, I could use the 12 gram as an emergency gas source). ROF is not important to me. I just want to have a lightweight, compact gas system.

Well considering the Sydarm is a 12gram powered Mag pistol and I've seen them in action it's easy to tell you....You're looking at about 8 shots total per 12g

I've got a pretty sweet horizontal mag asa if you want it! I think its Doc Nickel, but honestly I forget.
Send me a PM,

CO2 is not good for mags,Keep liquid co2 out of the reg.
12 grams are worse because small bits of metal from the piercing of the seal can work their way to the reg seat.
Best small co2 backup is a 3.5 or 4 oz bottle with an 1/4 turn on/off valve Run that in a vertical asa.

May I ask how. I have a mag running on 12 grams. I am lucky to get 10 shots. More like 7-8 @ 280fps. After that dropoff is severe. Ive tryed 3 different valves. Did you modify your valve?

This is my setup. For comparision. Vertical 12 gram with microline running to the valve. Stock valve.

About seven years ago ( pretty green then) I bought a MicroMag just cause I loved the look. I was getting 25 food shots from it. The valve was a stock MicroMag valve.
Now with my Classic, and MiniMag, I'm lucky to get ten.

The trick here is to reduce the volume and increase pressure.

I like 3.5oz tanks, and they're good for about 80 shots.

I got about 20 spaced shots and 10 rapid fire off mine. I had hardline to the valve with a wire in it to take up volume.
