Pneumag Questions

Alright, I know these may be some silly questions, though I just got a package with a partial pneumag. I've had one mag before, but never really took it apart (only had it for about a month). So the pneumag is almost completely foreign to me. All I have is the frame with pneumatics, and a body. I need the rail, and valve, though I'm soon to have a valve/bolt.

I was just looking at the frame and was trying to figure out how it holds the bolt back without a sear?
Would it most likely be easier to just get all the parts, and send it in to someone that can assemble it all?

I'll probably have more questions, though that's all I can think of right now.

as far as I know the pneumag has a sear - it just uses an air-ram to trigger the sear.

Pneumag = complete mag - trigger rod clevis + pneumatics (3-way, ram, and LPR)

So yes, you will need almost everything a regular mag has (I never heard of anyone loosing a clevis and come looking for a replacement ).

Does your frame have an LPR on it?

Cyberave68 does pneumag jobs with your parts (on Automags.org and Bigevilonline.com [and MCB?])

The easiest valve would be a stock RT pro valve to start with, if you are doing it yourself. Setting up pneumatics with a ULT trigger kit and level 10 bolt are pretty difficult altogether at once if you don't know what you're doing.

I'll let you know when I get all the parts I want (cosmetically). also where did you get it and are you sure it works right? I actually got it through a trade. The guy I got it from had a video of it with all the parts he had on it. Though he sold the rail, and valve seperately...so I assume it will still work with the valve and rail some people try to make them and fail.then they sell them to people that think they are getting a good deal.i shoot mags,i love mags, could take one apart and put it back together with my eye's closed.you have any pics of what you have? pictures at the end of this post

Well, I'll be getting a classic valve, with RT on/off from Robertsr, which is all I'll be able to afford at the time being. Though I'm hoping to be able to get a RT valve eventually
Pictures of the frame: They aren't great, but it's the best I can do with what I have...

There's the pictures. I don't really want to take the pieces out, because I don't know if I'd be able to get it back together again on my own lol.

Your ASA is an RT-pro rail type (with the two screws) it looks like, so it will not fit on an automag/minimag rail.

Your rail will need a hose path milled through it to the grip frame. The hose routing for the valve will need another port in the ASA, maybe you have one on the other side (?). Arranging the valve hoses and LPR are the hardest part of a pneumag imo.

Whether you send it out or not, you should take a search on MCB and the AO tech forums for pneumags so you can get an idea of what you want.

you can put your lpr on the bottom of the y frame with your asa.not sure where that trigger came form.the frame looks like it is all there.the lpr is a tickler style.there nice.is that all the parts you have?if so you need a body, rail, valve, barrel.

I have a ULE body, and plenty of barrels (been shooting mostly just cockers for the past few years). I should be getting a valve/bolt in the next couple weeks, unfortunately it will only be a classic for the time being, maybe get a X, or RT valve at the end of the winter. And hopefully I should be getting a decent rail soon (not a minimag/automag). So in the next couple weeks I should have all the parts, so I'll see how that goes.
