My roomie and I played a little outlaw ball today, him with his new cocker and I with my mag classic. I'm fairly happy with it, though I was having a lot of broken paint, and due to the weather it was hard to clean. If my lvl 7 bolt end up covered in paint every 50 rounds or so, what could be the problem? I have a classic valve with right hand feed body, 32* frame and I'm running HPA from the asa at the bottom of my frame. I think thats all the info you guys need, right?

How cold is it in Nova Scotia? Are you using winter paint? Part of it could be the paint doesn't like the cold. I believe a foamieless bolt the tip sticks out a bit, whereas with a foamie bolt it's more pushed in... if that makes any sense. What velocity were you shooting at? |

If you have a stock bolt, you don't need a foamie. What kind of hopper do you have? If it's anything lower than a force feed, there's your problem. If you can't load the paint fast enough, you get chops. The lower the chops, you need a forcefeed and/or level 10 bolt. |

Also, check the black plug on the power feed tube. Is it a defective one?

The problem is you're using a hopper that relies on vibration to feed a marker that doesn't kick when fired. Plus it's not a powerfeed. Also, if a ball is rolling out your barrel with the detent installed then it needs to be replaced. Both of those things probably led to the broken paint. |
