I came across an odd body rail

instead of having the one hole up front for the vert ASA, it has 2 holes machined into it

and its not like someone machined an extra one in addition to the usual 1 hole . . . neither of the 2 line up with the normal 1 hole

and I think I have an odd 'lapco' marked ASA for this rail, that has an integral cintered metal filter in it even

I will get pics . . . in the meantime, has anyone else ever seen anything like this?

Have to see pics.

Maybe they had the Vert ASA with the 2 screws. I know that's the type I need for my shadow rail to keep it from twisting.

If memory serves, all newer rt-/ule-style asa's have two holes and a flat top.

That is wierd- the 2 holes don't use the usual regular one at all and it appears to be that the lower (as viewing the pic) is just a bit lower than the the single hole rail.

But it does look like was made for the dual screw ASA- (as that is what there is. I can't tell by the pics, but is the bottom smooth or does it have the nitches on the sides - that would keep the AGD ASA in place on a minimag?

I may be seeing funny again but I think that one of those holes is in the correct location. I don't think they are held correctly for one of the pics. It looks like the odd rail may stick out further to the front of the gun.

This probably won't help at all but the newer RT Pro rails have 2 screw holes and when I switched to an older rail, it only had one. So when I used the same vert ASA, I had trouble keeping it still because it could only use that one hole.

When I bought my Pro Classic from AGD, that's what the rail looked like.
