However if you're unlucky enough to get out of time while shooting quickly, you can get the pump rod caught behind the bolt. I've done it....twice. It would be nice to have an AT just to prevent this.

yeah i've done that once, too. i've thought about what it'd take to AT one a couple of times - it'd be really difficult to accomplish with the way the "kit" is engineered...

If the wave spring disintigrates or weakens somewhat, it may offer a slight AT effect.

It depends on how you look at things. In a pump only game, it is AT effect. In a scenario game during final battle, it is a semi effect.
