Benchmark Single-Trigger Pull Shortening

Is it possible to shorten the pull on the benchmark trigger? It is a great frame and trigger, but the pull seems a tad long.

I am no expert on mags...yet.

You can adjust the trigger rod some, but you need a gap about the size of a credit card between the trigger and the rod.

Benchy trigger pull is built long. They made it that way to make it a softer pull than the stock mag trigger. It will always be a bit longer than a stock pull due to the geometry of what's going on between the trigger and the trigger rod.

The only way I know to change it significantly is to go to a different frame.

I love the frame and the pull is soft, you are right about that. I would just want to shorten it up a bit.

I saw you other comments about bench's being your preferred frame. They are quite nice.

I do dig the size of them. Perfect fit for my hands.

Benchy frames make holding an RT sweetspot super easy.

I wish I had an RT, but it works just fine on my 68 Mag.

Well the big irony is that I've bought and sold two X-Valved automags within the timespan of one year, and I've just never been able to use them. My 68 Classic has been my primary for many years (level 7 baby!) and I've been too cheap (lazy) to throw some upgrades on it (well I'm sending it to rainman to have a pump kit installed, but that's about as much as i'll spend money on my girl. I've tried everything in terms of trigger frames, I really liked the old sniper II trigger frames that the earlier automags.

Luke at Lukescustoms.com does a sear mod to shorten the pull, but you will need to use the ULT and you'll have to use trigger stops.
