Why is it...

Out of all the money and time spent making the few SC pump mags out there, I have never seen anybody use a sydarm body for one? Seems like it woudl cut down on the cost considerably.

But getting a sydarms body would have cost you a lot in the first place. Most body these day still stay as a fully functional sydarms. So it is not cost effective to buy a sydarms to use as a pump mag in the first place anyway:

Sydarms : $400
Stainless steel body + Luke welding and polishing: $200

Apples to Oranges there I think (unless I'm reading that wrong).

Sydarm you would have to mill the body/rail and get the pump kit, you already have the 12 changer, working valve, grip, everything that is needed.

If all that is needed to turn a nice mag into a SC mag is $200 and a little time why is the price tag on them so high?

Sydarm pump has been done and the one Im thinking of belonged to WWA. Im sure there are a couple others out there since some early sydarms already have pump milled rails and bodies. But otherwise it's expensive enough just to purchase a sydarm.

My guess would a few were milled that way though. I thought I saw a sydarm within the last few months that was milled for pump. I could be wrong though.

Edit: These 2 guys have pump milled sydarms.

My Syarm body is pump milled but the rail is not. I had thought to put my pump kit on it for a trial but never got around to it.
