Well got a question for you guys. I have to current deals working for two different rails. One is a Dallara Rail and the other is a Shadow Rail. I'm having a difficult time deciding which to buy between the two. I plan to use a simple ULE body, X-Valve, a Triton or an ULE Frame, and also a Stick Grip if I can get my hands on them. Now I'm just wondering your guy's thoughts and opinions on both of the two rails, what are some positives and negatives of both if there are any, or which ever one you prefer. Thanks

I really like my shadow rails. They are simple, sleek and light. I think if you take a look at the last page or two of mags in the 'pictures' thread at AO you'll see setups very similar to what you are considering. |

Yea I've been trolling every picture thread I can find on mags to help me, but still no use. Been sitting here all day trying to figure it out. I like the Dallara Rail because its got a nice sleek look to it, but I also like the Shadow being that its a little longer and allows more room between my foregrip and my trigger frame, and it also is just plain and clean....hmm...decisions, decisions....

Why not just buy both rails and build two mags simultaneously? You know you'll be doing it sooner or later anyways... 'tis the Automag curse... ![]() My vote would go to the Dallara but that's because I know eventually I'd try to find a Dallara body to match it. You can also try fliping a coin and see if you can live with the decision, if you can't then you've made your choice! |

I'd love to build two mags, but I'm broke, been laid off for two months now, finally found a job but still not enough cash on the side to justify two more builds in addition to my cocker project that needs finishing. Maybe I'll try the flipping the coin thing, maybe flip like ten times and see which one comes out ahead. I'd actually love just to buy a complete mag like I'm looking for since it would be cheaper right now, and then I can go off of how I feel about that one and upgrade how I'd see fit.

Thanks guys. In the future when cash isn't such a big concern, I plan to build another mag using a Shadow rail. That'll probably end up be a pneumag project.
