Hmm, I'll give your way a try, ta2maki!

Yours look really good, and since a dremel can make it uneven, I might as well give your method a whirl!

I sometimes do after 1500 grit, just to remove the little layer of top tarnish. I don't think I would after the Mother's polish (idk, but I expect Mother's leaves a protective coating).

I used the angle bracket of the CMS kit and bolted it to the side of the drops. I tapped a couple 6-32 holes in each drop.

No. That's for use with the powerball polisher. It's too runny and doesn't work well to use by hand.

You want this... Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish is a renowned metal polish, legendary in detailing and car collecting circles. The polish is safe on aluminum & mag I just googled it, I don't know if the site is a good place to buy.

The stuff is awesome. It's gives a high polish, yet it's really aggressive.

EDIT: Here's a canadian tire link, looks like you guys up there still have the old can design. http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brows...m%2BPolish.jsp

Does anybody know if that stuff goes bad. I've got a six year old can barely used floating around.

Should be fine unless it's dried out. It separates after a while and turns yellow. I found a can gone missing for a few years but it still worked fine.

Figured that was the one, after I looked around on the CT website some more.

Thanks.
