When you weld the body you have 2 areas to worry about. The actual weld b/c it may be a different type of aluminum than the original body and the heat effected zone which if someone doesn't do it right could be a large area. I would defiantly like to see how this turns out.

Just fill that slot with some weld and then dremal and file it It will look perfect once it's done. I'm not making fun I'm serious.

I'll be posting before/during/after pics of my sniper build.

Just traded for a 2K+ cocker to scavenge internals and etc off of. Need to find a single trigger gripframe, pump kit, and AT. Make sure everything works. Then break it down and send for anno.

Exactly. I used a heatsink under the body as to limit this. I think it should turn out okay.

Looks good Blackrain! I thought about making a few passes to fill the groove, but as freakshow stated above I am a little worried about the heat. Worse case the body will warp making it a paperweight. I will probably make a small filler piece and weld that in, then file it to shape.

Fastev can fill you in on the gory details, but due to some possible complications and an unforeseen delay I opted to live with the slot in the body. Fastev did an awesome job on the eye holes and I'm happy with his work. The body is with me now and I'm in the process of finding a grip frame and pump kit I like before sending it off to anno.
