Question Turning Blazer Barrels

Looking to see who and what it might cost to get some older style angel barrels turned down for a 2K Blazer.

Was thinking of purchasing something like this kit:
ANGEL DREAM Stainless Paintball gun Insert barrel Kit - eBay (item 390110220827 end time Jan-18-11 09:09:26 PST)

Thank you!

im not sure of the OD on the threads of the inserts, but i think that when you have it turned down it will interfere or even cut off those threads.

the barrels have to be turned down to about .795

I see your point. I was thinking it was threaded on both sides. Would something like this work?

Sanchez OTP G3 ANGEL Paintball gun barrel INSERT Kit - eBay (item 390110170195 end time Jan-18-11 06:48:38 PST)

your best bet would be to find something like a CP, DYE, empire kit. something with individual backs.

or just get a single small bore back and you're good to go. finding these kits in the old angel threads should be fairly easy and inexpensive.

Thanks Rednecksniper. I was originally hoping to find an insert system that would be interchangable with cocker a cocker back, but I'm quickly losing hope on that idea. Now I'm finding out that these shorter/cheaper kits aren't ideal. I will have to look for some cheaper small bore barrels.

Any idea how much it would cost to turn a barrel?

I have one of the angel OTP kits and the blazer measurements somewhere. If I remember later I can take measurements to see if it'll work. I suspect you'd have to turn off the threads then cut the back shorter and clean it up.

I'm not volunteering either I did PM the measurements. It looks like those OTPs could potentially be used for the newer Blazer barrel length but it's cutting into the little lip for the wrench. Other than that it looks like old angel barrels would be a great possibility. Personally I'd just look for an old angel freak back and do that.

Not to delay a response but I've really been looking into this as an option. From what I've gathered this is not a great solution because there is not enough meat left around the insert. What about a SS back through? Not an insert, but an actual back. Would this be strong enough to withstand some abuse?

Thank you!
