I don't actually know, Jonotwist. I don't have an old style front to look at, and I'm not sure what the new back threads are.

In order to rethread a barrel, I need to cut off the old threads. Which would make your freak back about an inch too short to put freak inserts into, Wood.

How about threading old sterling body to autococker?

I think there's a spacing issue with the sterling bodies. If it's possible, then I'm the guy to do it. The body needs at least .5" of clearance from the center of the barrel bore.

When Sterling was on this site, trying to get input on what would make their guns more marketable in the US, my very adament suggestion was autococker threading. They avoided addressing it until after I had pushed a little to far, and they said that the barrel threads would break into the lower tube. This was based on analysis of a 3d model of their current line.... But I would still like to get a hold of one to check for myself.

I have an old unibody comp that I would like turned into an AC threaded gun. What exactly do you need a measurement of?

On a unibody, I just need barrel OD.

If it's 1", then we're in business.
