Question 10 -12 inch Freak inserts?

Does anyone have the ability to make 10-12 inch freak inserts and a back for it with a 1 inch OD?

Better bore control on high pressure markers.

Actually, the longer control is more necessary for LOWER pressure markers.

Impulse energy over time determines the length of control bore.

I remember someone on BEO talking about a new barrel system using 8" inserts, but I can not remember who, nor what it was called.

You could have a back made that would accept two freak inserts... That would equal 10 1/8" of control bore... Then you could make it stepout in the middle, which *might* lead to increased gass efficency, as the energy levels left in the gas as it reaches the 5" mark would be siginificantly less than at the initial firing. The more open bore would lower the sliding friction, and you might be able to eek out a few more shots per unit of gas.

Just a thought... (I really should *not* do this when I am passing out tired... I have to proofread the crap out of my posts )
