Ultralite a Dragon Body? (I know it'll be expensive)

Looking for someone to take the project of lightening a Timmy Dragon body.

I don't care about preserving the dragon cosmetic details, just as getting as light as possible. I love the fact that the dragon is one of only billet machined Timmys out there, and would like to take it to the next level.

I'm thinking that the main amount of work would be focused around:
Rounding over both bottom and top tubes as much as possible
Cutting window in bottom tube, exposing all nonsealing portions of the ram sleeve
Chopping down top tube

I realize this may have to be done via CNC and may be expensive. A plus of this is that Timmys have the same body/air passage dimensions/locations and a well written program could be used for the future.

Let me know if anyone knows of a machinist that may be interested in picking this project up.

Which intimidators weren't billet?

I'm under the impression that they all are. Even the Valken G6R's are billet made in china.

really? IIRC, they were made from the same extrusions that bob used for the millenium bodies (failed spyder clone), which is why they needed that funky back block to accommodate the longer ram.

An extrusion is billet. Most billet is extruded square or round. Some is extruded with a couple holes in it. It's a time-saving choice, not a quality-reducing choice.

sorry, dragons, species, and rippers are milled from a solid block. All other intimidators are milled from extruded blocks.

All I'm saying is that those "solid blocks" were also extrusions. Therefore, there is no difference. Take it as my expert opinion.

Actually, if the only difference that you're going on is the length of the guns, then it's extremely likely that the Dragons were also "hollow" extrusions. They just weren't cut an inch short before he started on them. Oddly enough, I may be in a position to ask the man himself tomorrow afternoon.
