My Sherline stuff came with a small cabinet that was nice, but flimsy. There were two small drawers (about 8"x8") that had dividers. I can store pretty much everything in those two things. The cabinet didn't survive the move, but the drawers sit on my workbench.

Cheap, easy, and available; try silverware drawer dividers. They can't be more than a few bucks at Target and could easily float around your work area.

I keep my endmills in a big plano box. It has lots of changeable compartments so I can separate them by size. I just leave them in the plastic sleeve they come in so they don't bang around on each other and get dull. Its worked great so far.

look at harbor freight's 3 tier toolbox. I picked one up for under 200 recently and it's actually very nice. Rolling Tool Cabinet - 11 Drawer

Pack stuff you don't use often... Everything else should be in low profile drawers for easy access and quick selection. Bigger stuff can go in bottom drawers, tool board, shelving, etc

I dont know how it will hold up years down the road but right now I'd say it's nearly as good as my kenedy at work.

I went to harbor freight today, the 3 tier for 200 just felt so cheap to me, maybe it was the way it was assembled but I was NOT impressed... Hmm...

check craigslist for old craftsman toolboxes they are usually cheaper than the harbor freight one, and better quality.

Ty, you own one of these, ever seen this before? It just started doing this thing where the gear on the head will start to walk all over the place. It used to be stuck, but now if I crash the tool too hard (and I have to be trying to do this) the gear will actually lose grip on the shaft it is turning in/on the head.

Check out the set screw in the pulleys. Make sure they are tightened on to the flat of the shaft. If they are then check the bearing preload. If the spindle can move vertically within the headstock you have a major issue.
