Hey look, there's a set screw in the headstock pulley. Here I thought that hole was just an anchor point for the steel bars you use to tighten the 3-jaw. Every thing is good now, thanks Ty.

Take the cost of a new collet out of his check. It'll only take a time or two hopefully.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should. That is sticking pretty far out. What will you be cutting with that?

I cut the frame on a sterling and the pump handle. It cut the ABS of the pump handle(seen in the picture) without blinking. The Al frame was slow going with about .005 depth of cut. It came out nicely though. http://www.mcarterbrown.com/forums/s...ing-build.html

I wish I could do that. This guys been there 6 yrs and has seniority on me cuz I'm not even a year. Best part is he TRAIINED me..... I had to put my earmuffs on for most of it cuz it was all bullpoop. Another favorite thing of his to do is put the stops in the holders right where the collet will bottom out on it. I think I finally removed all the stops from all the holders and his tool box. I'm surprised he hasn't gotten a tool to the forehead yet.
Oh the humanity

lol the guy who trained me after school told me to forget all the equations I learned in school. On a side note I have a math minor and program parts to run in 1/3 the time he does now.
