That's an impressive strip down for being in spare time. Should be a sweet setup when it's up and running. I'm not very popular with my Servo Drive Van Norman on popular machinist in the vintage sub-form Good to get some input though.

Bah, screw them. It's your machine. Use and abuse it however you see fit.

That's weak. If somebody wants to buy it then fine, but it's yours, use it.

This is about as nekked as she gets:

I also fixed the handle so it now goes in all 4 modes. It was at 9 o'clock and would get stuck at 11 o'clock. An internal piece needed a little adjustment. PITA to get to, but needed.

Well If I'm going to make them I'm going to make a decent lot. Most of the time on these is in the setup. I'm expecting about a 15 min each runtime and 1.5-2 hr setup. I just did a run of 3 this time as I needed one for a current build. If I order some delrin I'd order enough to do 20-30 and just hold onto whatever doesn't sell.

I am actually curious as to why you are choosing delrin if you don't mind me asking?

It's a dream to machine. Anytime I can use delrin I will.

Beautiful work.

I did something new today... I freak bored a carbon fiber barrel. It turns out the carbon expands radially as it is being bored, so I had to use a slightly larger than normal reamer. Beyond that it was a wonderful material to work. Obviously heat and dust were potential issues, but water worked well for both problems.
