I would think a smaller bore size would have more material / wall thickness to work with. Not sure if that makes the process easier.

He milled a eigenbarrel down to fit my blazer barrel. Did a nice job. thanks again.

those would be shaft 2 or 3 right ya I have done both. shaft 3 gets pretty thin but are ok. shaft 2 no problems at all.
