Hey there MCB, I just hot a hammer 7 this past weekend and noticed one improvement it sorely needs that is probably just out of my hands to make. It needs a sling mount. I run mine on a remote line and only have one magazine for it (so I'm using 10 round tubes to reload the mag) and when reloading, I can either set it on the ground or try to tuck it under my arm.

So, I'm looking for something fairly simple, a steel or aluminum plate 5/8x1 1/2x3/8 with two holes in it to mount to a bottom line and one larger d-ring style hole to hang from a sling.

If I had any sort of artistic abilities, is post a picture of my idea but alas...

That's the first thing that I thought of, but I don't like the way the gun balances when the sling is attached to the top. Also, I'm going to put a scope on the top rail and would like as few obstructions as possible.

What about mounting a short rail to the bottom of the pistol grip?
