Picture of said turret...

Still need a few turning tool holders, one boring bar holder, and I have more live tooling holders on their way...

I am trying to work out the best locations for process and for clearance... it gets scary coming in to the 8" chuck with a parting tool and the boring bars get close to the jaws. 1/2" feels like 0.0005 when that's happening

I think many of us use many areas of different forums for this goal. Sometimes it's a thread like over on PBN in the Custom Cad's thread, or voided warranty or sometimes it's a full section like you have here on MCB.

With anything like this I think the issue is to keep enough content for the niche so that people become regulars to it and join in.

That's not always easy though.

I am currently "working on" putting enough tools into my new lathe. So I can start making cool stuff with it.

Pictures once I get back to the machine...

Any luck on those mounting dimensions for the rip clips? I asked 6 months ago and kinda feel bad about bumping the thread on your forum/ask for further help there.

Ack, feel free to hassle me on my forums anytime.

If it's gone past a couple of weeks it usually means it's slipped my mind.

Sorry about that. I should have it straightened out for you shortly. Will need to upload it for you.

I hate you Simon! That is beautiful piece of machinery... I so wish I had the space and money for something that nice.

Brass Monkey Customs

Brass Freak, Freak XL compatible and Equation inserts in .670, .678, and .685 (As I no longer have access to the machine to make certain sizes, I will not be replacing any which go out of stock.)

Still selling brass tubing, with .678 barrel stock now available!

My feedback: MCB - eBay - AO

Follow Brass Monkey Customs on Instagram and Facebook (work in progress)
