Brass freak front?

As above, I am wondering if someone has already done this or could do this.

Thanks!

Ty has made a couple for me but I don't think he enjoyed it. He is the only one I know that does it though.

Thanks for the info. I just got a brass insert from him, didn't even think of asking him about this at the time.

how long a tip would you be looking for? Something like a flashpoint tip would not be too hard since you would not have to do any crazy gun drilling or anything like that. Also a shorter tip would not weight the front of the marker down as much as say a 6" tip.

I've made two in brass. Like Ty, I'm not a fan of the freak tip threading and I am definitely not volunteering. They're actually not that bad in weight under 6" or so. I think Super Stanchy can do the threading as well so might want to drop him a note.

Ya the treading was my main reason for asking about length. If it's short I can thread it vertically in the cnc mill. If it's long though forget it, and it's too much of a pain to do manually the lathe.

It's a fine dual lead thread. It's not just the threading, everything needs to be very precise including the little bit you have to bore at the back end of the tip for the insert to fit into.
