simple brass gas-through grip (sort of)

so i'm wanting a custom stubby foregrip for my automag made out of brass. here is what i have in mind:

as you can see, it's pretty basic. at this time, i do not want it to be gas-through, but drilled out inside with the proper drill so that if i ever did want it gas-through, i could just finish drilling through and tap it with a 1/8 npt tap.

you'll notice the notch is a "V" channel, but it doesn't have to be a "V"...it could be a small semi-circular channel, whatever. just something there for decoration to break up the shape. the dimensions are firm though; 1" exposed length from the vertical asa, 1" diameter and decorative notch at 5/8" down.

the plans are to polish this up to a mirror finish. if you can do it quickly and easily (read, inexpensively lol), i'd pay for that as i hate polishing! if you can't do that, it's ok.

lemme know if you can make my doo-dad here. thanks.

that would work, and have the look i want (if i sprayed the top part with black plasti-dip), and likely be easier / cheaper to make.

but it's not what i want. it's kind of like...putting on a nice watch after getting dressed up in a good suit. that little, classy piece of eye candy, just to put it over the top. also, this is going on a minimag, and i'd like to preserve the vertical asa. call me...old skool (har), but in my opinion if it doesn't have a vertical asa, it's not a minimag. even if i have no intention to use the vertical asa for anything more than a foregrip. a nod to the past; an updated version of the classic minimag i have in my head.

i can't explain myself any better than that; it's ok if it doesn't make much sense lol. it is a good idea though; any other 'mag i would go for it, just not this one.

Hot lil' number. Now you just need a brass AIR valve and field strip pin
