Non Cartidge Sheridan Side Tap Valve Body

Anybody want to make me a couple of these?

Thanks!

What are you using that for?

On a non cartridge valve (old style) you can drill and tap the valve body directly... no need for something else... I've done it several times and owned many guns that have had it done.

Not knocking the idea... just wondering at the purpose.

Well, I understand that you can just drill and tap the side, but I've heard that you'd still have to seal the front air chamber, and I'm playing with the idea of removing most of the lower tube. So I'm not sure how I'd seal it properly. I just figured that this might be the best option?
How have you sealed the lower tube when you've done it?

On the two sb's that I side tapped the chamber was sealed with a little disk. If you have a pgp or other gun with a cartidge puncture seal you should be able to remove the seal and either find an appropriate sized grub screw or drill and tap for a grub screw or just put a thick disk of metal in there with some silicone to seal it up.

I take it this thing you want made is replacing the cartridge seal?

You've got a lot of machining going on to make it hollow... any other reason than to make it lighter?

just take the exsisting chamber plug you have and tap it, put some sealer on a cap head screw and your done. very simple to do and much cheaper than having someone machine your design.

This is exactly what I did and it worked great.

I considered the same thing, then just went with a LB body. Allready tapped and plugged. ALOT can be cut off the front of those (1/4 inch in front on the gripframe)
