I say this with a grain a salt. Need to call around for scrap yards. Depending on the place, steel, copper, aluminum, and dare I say it brass too.

I keep mine in boxes and was going to ask the same thing. The guys at Metadyne recycle it but they have pieces in their scrap bin that are quite large that I make use out of all the time. What size are the pieces you have?

I keep mine in a small box also. You never know when you'll need a little piece of SS or something to make a small pin or tiny part. I know my scrap has came in handy a few times. Sadly, scrap yards only pay a percentage by the pound...so unless you have several pounds of useless scrap you might as well keep it around for one of those days.

I like the abstract art idea (like the guy in "Iron Giant"). You could weld it together with junk paintball gun parts and sell it on here.

I hold on to my scraps actually..

There has been many a case where I needed a small piece of some off thickness and I went to my scrap bin and found it.

Now all my chips and swarf and stuff.. that I toss in a 20 gallon cardboard drum I have and I go and sell that off for scrap value when ever my contractor friend has a load of scrap he has to go dump
