| Active Member | A5 Modified Powertube Maybe I should have posted this in "Ask The Experts" but I figured Airsmiths would be a better place to pitch this question... My A5 won't recock, I fire it once, it cycles fine, second shot, still good, no velocity issues, then on the third shot it won't recock, it acts as iff the Co2 tank is empty and starts sputtering and "rapidfiring" so to speak, but dosn't cycle. Now, where my question to an Air smith comes in...The aluminum powertube has been modified. When I bought the aluminum powertube the inner diamerter of the receiver seemed too large, leaving a gap between the powertube and the receiver where the hole for the cyclone line is (this cause a huge leak), so I had a threaded stub added to the powertube, very similar to a 98C powertube. Could it be this thats causing the issue? I'll add that there are no audible leaks at all, and I havn't felt any at all. I've added some photos of the modification here, just what sticks out of the receiver, if powertube photos will help I'll strip the gun down and post some. http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/l...1/P8270715.jpg http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/l...1/P8270716.jpg Thanks for your time guys, Reconshooter

| MCB Member | Okay hold tight...... Im thinking a few things here. 1) Your power tube mod could be the cause it could be making the hammer hang up.. 2) Als check that the valve/valve tube isnt shifting around and not making the hammer hit right.. I see this alot in 98's that are missing the valve screws. 3) You may want to check your hammer oring and or replace it even if its fine.. lately the new tippmann's quality control is lax so even new orings some times dont last long..
