This is a can it be done, would it work, how it would work, is it even worth doing post.

Has somebody tried it? Tell the tale if ya did.
I think it would be kind of cool and strange.

Yes it can be done.
Yes it has been done
Its not too difficult.
1 plug holes that supply air to the barrel
2 reverse spring so it pushes the barrel closed
3 attach pump to the barrel
This is a simplified version but you get the idea.
The hardest part is stopping rollouts and double feeding

Cool now to find my Nova and decide if I want to ruin a prefectly good gun.

The only thing you have to do to the gun is to run a 10-32 tap in the air holes.
All the rest of the mods are to the barrel and shroud. If you do it right you can reverse it easily to use it as a semi.

Brian (bsm) had trouble keeping his ports sealed at PP8 this summer (sounds dirty). Since loctite won't really work in delrin, I was going to suggest a little bit of silicon caulk on the threads of your plugs, but this will make it a mess to return to semi-auto operation...
