bought 2 Mech Mayhems from Bacci so thought I would catalog the restoration of these old Frogs. they are ugly and scratched up, the Mayhem et has been scratched off, but they hold air and cycle. they are sluggish on the trigger pull and release, but that is better then I thought I was getting at least they work. Rust and dirt everywhere alot of sanding, stripping, and general cleaning is ahead of me. here are is a pic of the gruesome twosome.

are these V1 mayhems witht the back holes plugged and a 3way setup in the frame?

Haven't torn them down yet but that seems to be correct

Those things are nuts...they look like ray guns that were used as rentals.

I met those when they were in Dan's posession. I thought of picking one up to mess with but they looked like they needed a lot of love, and also they're icky centerfeed.

Mayhems have adjustable feed you remove a screw and can change it to left right or center they are also. Angel feed neck threads so you can put a new locking neck on for cheap

With an old WGP Thompson ribbed barrel, and one of Alpha434's loudener's, it would look like something straight out of Bioshock.

I wonder if the tough trigger problem is related a problem with the reg not regulating properly? Excited to see what you do with theses. I didn't do much to get these cycling. They are so cool that they can even function at all in the condition they are in. Frog = Field Rental Only Gun but now I am not 100 percent convinced that is their actual name from PGI since FROG was a gun from Section 8 (never produced?) and these are likely PGI guns. But I haven't been able to get in contact with Leon Styles to see if he actually had a name for them. -Dan |
