awww man just got my supernova in the mail!!!

had one when i was younger. checked out the newer paintguns online but they don't have style. didn't get a chance to gas it up yet, havn't filled my tanks in years. My question is, did all of them come with a site rail? I remember on the Nova 700s the site rail was important to keep on. My Supernova didn't come with a site rail, saw some pictures online that had the rail, and others that didn't. Also i got a big bad barrel with it. Gotta be at least 16 inches. Darth Vaders gun!

Sight rail wasn't the important thing, The screws that held it on were. As long as the screws are in you're ok.

Nice!! Is the 16" barrel straight-rifled or smooth? Anodized black or polished aluminum?

I'll post a picture up when when I'm on my computer. Got a new co2 tank
filled and the gun leaks I'm searching around on how to fix it. You screw in the tank and gas leaks inbetween the body and trigger frame. You press the trigger and it sounds like something is going on but no barrel movement. Any help would be awesome. Good looks clean.

Did some searching. The regulator (the thing on the bottom line) gets cold, the hose gets cold then hissing. Guess I'm looking for a spool valve o-ring. Dunno anything about the insides of the novas but I'm going to learn.

Newest update: Gased the Supernova up in the morning and it leaks in the front hole (closest to the barrel). But the regulator gets so cold. As in, frosty on the outside and your finger doesn't melt the frost right away. Same with the hose (the gun didn't come with one so i put that one in. Seems okay.). From what I read last night the leak could be from the spool valve but I don't think the regulator is supposed to get that cold. Also the leak comes out the barrel slightly. The leak is much more quiet with the barrel off but the trigger still doesn't do anything.

The regulator freezing is because of the leaks. It will stop when you get the leaks stopped.

First take off your tank
1 Turn your regulator all the way down.
2 Take a pencil eraser and push the the spool valve back to reset it( the center circle when you look at the front of the gun with the barrel off)
3 Lube the barrel o-rings well with a grease type lube.
4 Put the barrel back on and slowly turn the regulator back up till the gun cycles.

The barrel assy. is pressurized when the trigger is not pulled so the gun will leak if you have the barrel off and have the tank on.

Be careful of over pressurizing the gun. Novas work at 90-100 psi

Try these steps and let us know what happens.
