My Nova is acting stupid.

Last time I used it at the field it worked just fine. Last night I screwed a tank in... there was a leak from above the grip frame, then after I fired it, it started going chuchuchuchuchuchu out the barrel. It still fires but does that when I release the trigger.

I looked at Avery's Nova troubleshooting link and couldn't find this particular spasticity. I'm not 100% familiar with its inner workings as of yet, and I guess I'm about to learn.

Any hints to where I should start?

Which slot? There's two above the frame, I'm guessing it's the front one? I'll check back when I get home.

If you pull and hold the trigger does it make your funky noise too? Is the barrel moving when it's making the noise? And yeah...which slot is it leaking from? Have you tried another air tank by chance?

This sucker's electrical, but I need a nuclear

I'll check all that out when I get home and report back tomorrow (no internet at home, just at my office). I know it doesn't do it when the trigger's held, but there is a slight leak down the barrel. When released it then proceeds to chuchuchu. Doesn't matter which tank I use, hpa or co2. And yes I keep it lubed and have tried dumping a bunch of silicon oil thru the asa, to no avail.

Ok, screwed the tank in... gas venting from the middle of the bottom rail thingy...literally right above where the grip frame mounts, above the sticker, from between the rail thingy and the main body of the gun. Pull the trigger, it kinda fires, then the barrel stays mostly back as it vents. Does that help?

I going to guess spool orings.... Do you want to work on it yourself or send it back to me? It's still under my warranty :-)

Lemme open it up and see how far over my head I can get, then I'll probably send you a bag o' Nova.
