I don't think we're connecting on this... I suspect nothing is leaking out of that O-ring itself. If you look closely, there are notches on either side of that O-ring. If it's leaking out of the rear notch, it's the pressure relief... meaning either it's overpressurized or the O-ring on the pressure relief is bad or the spring. If it's leaking out of the front notch, it's normally the spool o-rings but I've also had it happen when the spool / cap aren't seated in there properly.

Got ya! It could be leaking from one or the other. Its kind of had to tell. Any harm in giving it the "dunk test" ( dunking it in a bucket of water )?

Probably no need to dunk it... If you can't tell by just feeling for the leak, just lay it on it's side (R side of the gun down) and drip a little soapy water on that spot... If you can't see in there to identify which notch it is, just mark the leak with something (grease pencil works well for me) and it should be apparent when you take the grip frame off again.

This is the manual. A quick read through showed that the "leak" is actually normal. It's on the second page of the manual, under "built-in relief valve".

The relief valve is supposed to vent around 150 PSI.

If what he's saying is true and he's putting in 25-85 PSI it shouldn't be venting there. I suspect he had another issue like a bad spool o-ring but we may never know.
