Here is my half-milled 03 Viking. Got the tarantula body milling, bolt milling, noid pocket milling, tray milling (to match the tray's width to body's new width), frame milling, and polishing after it's all said and done.

pics don't do it justice. most of the "imperfections" on the polished area are from smudges.

still to do -
- find somebody to anodize it.
- make a thin tray
- make wiring harness so i can use it on an angel board
- mount a cobra fierce frame to the thin tray and mate both to the body
- anodize

2/7/2011 - received by my post office and sat there. grrrr.
2/19/2011 - called post office and picked it up.

Jan/Feb 2013 - finally finished this project. got a jig saw and made a thin tray. drill a bunch of holes so the fierce frame would fit. had to do a bunch of grinding to make a cavity for the noid since it sticks out about 1mm from the bottom of the body and i didn't want to crush the noid.

current setup -
- Magno'ed valve - removed valve spring and super glued magnets to end of plug and cup seal. will have to measure LPR
- Angel Cobra Fierce Frame - Predator board. make a JST to Molex adapter so I can flip back to WAS board and old set up if needed.
- Blue eyes

Nice work...

I have my Tarantula viking sitting in parts waiting to get it annoed. Unfortunately, I have yet to pick out a company to do the anno job. I understand there is no one you can rely on as of this writing. I don't want to ruin the viking due to the anno job. Have you picked out an annodizer?

As of right now there are two companies I feel safe sending my anodizing work to. If it's a more elaborate splash or acid wash I would go with Anotech Metal Finishing and I you would like a type III finish I would suggest Arnold's Metal Finishing. If you're somewhere simple and type II either should work. PK Selective was on my list but their priced for small batch work simply aren't competitive.

tarantula is milling body/tray for 230, frame for 15 cut bolt for 10, and if you dont have eyes he will mill the body to accept them for 40.

pk charges alot, but their quality reflects that, and so does their turn around, they live on the principal of good and fast isnt cheap

depending on what you want done, ive never seen a bad piece of work come from PK, hell they INVENTED splash anno on paintball guns in the 90's, and they are still around,, that speaks volumes to me

sometimes, if you want the best, you gotta pay for it

this viking is very nice. the first i have seen that still has the half mill remaining. I cant wait to see this finished.
