HI guys, i bought my first viking about a month ago. It's the salmon 03 JMJ featherlight. Man, i love how it shoots and all but when i took it to the field it seems a bit louder than most of the guns i have tried. I mean, the LPR was set pretty low that i can move the bolt back and forth pretty easily (i don't have the LPR gauge) The only upgrades are SCM 2 i think and pretty much stock everything, humphrey noid, was board. So a few questions: 1. Can the gun be made quieter using board and LPR setting? 2. I have heard about robtown valve, what does it do to a viking and how does it compare to the stock AKA tornado valve? ----any chance of finding them these days? Only one issue that i have on the field that day because it;s very cold was FSDO. i put extra oil in the ASA after that and have to turn my hopper off, shoot all the balls out after every game. Before the start of a new game i manually cycle the bolt a few times with my hand before turning it on, then turn the hooper on, shoot some paint through it, etc. dry firing at home when it's warm didnt give me any problem. it's worth mentioning that FSDO only happened the first time i turned it on. I did the steps above just to make sure it didn't happen again. I hate to take off the barrel and blow all the stuck paintballs. Other than that this thing rips. On the speedball field, our team won 3 out of 3 times, with me pretty much moving up to the front from the right side. Got the vid but no time to upload it yet. |

have you checked to see if your getting LPR creep? And lowering the dwell makes it less *kaboom* and more *pop* but requires an increase in pressure. RT valve will let you lower the LPR more because of how light the hammer it comes with is. Remember to put 2 drops of oil in the macrofitting of the reg and also oil your bolt ![]() also increasing the LPR slightly in cold weather can help

If you're using the stock javelin on it, they're quite loud. I notice a significant difference when I use my deadlywind barrel. As far as finding a robtown valve, DC is out of the '03s so picking one up used is your only option.
