What reg really is best on a viking?
 

So I was just looking at guns in the gallery and noticed several people have 2 liters on their vikings.

I am guessing for looks as much as anything but thought I would ask. My understanding is that 2 liters are best for low pressure ranges sidewider for the upper pressures say 600 psi + and SST falls somewhere in the middle.

So for best efficiency and lowest likelihood of shootdown what reg do you all think is best?

My suggestion is a 2 liter.

The recharge rates are made specifically to keep up with the speed of the Vikings which are said to be the 'fastest' of the AKA's. Therefore, more consistency and then more accuracy (given a proper bore match, quality paint, proper tuning and electronics, etc).

Isn't the recharge rate on a sidewinder similar if not the same?

Sidewinder and SST are pretty much the same thing, except the SST should be less prone to creeping, and the upper adjustable range doesn't go as high as the Sidewinder. I like the 2 liter for numerous reason but cant fit them on my UL'd Vikings at the moment. But the reg is top dog imho.

While a 2 litre is amazing...Vikings do not need them...the only gun that ever really NEEDED one was the old Gen E trixes...the viking doesn't use enough air to actually overtax a sidewinder...The only real reason to use one on a viking is for looks...I have one on my joker vikings...but switched over on my other two because i didn't want the extra bulk
