I remember reading somewhere that there was a bit of shadiness that went on with planet eclipse and the evil m project, can't remember where or who mentioned it...you guys could probably dig up the thread with enough searching though

If I could get a picture to post, I think I remember what that was about. There was a picture that showed one of the Wise Guys using a stacked tube gun with Eblade grips. Then rumors started.

I thought it was confirmed as being a rumor at one point. I always thought it looked like a Bushmaster.

The rumor was that Planet Eclipse was going to design the frame or board or both I'm not entirely sure on that part. But I guess there was no non compete contract signed or something like that and when AKA was sued by S.P. and all of that went down. Supposedly P.E. based part of the Ego design off the Evil Ehm or something like that.

The M prototype that i got from dan does not have an eblade frame on it...it has a prototype gripframe, with a prototype pandora

Oh come on and post a good pic for us. That's the clearest pic I ever found of the factory version. And DID eclipse have something to do with it at some point?

If i ever get back to the shop i will post one...when i saw it a few weeks ago it was in pieces...and they may or may not have...haha

Internal pics sound just as cool to me! I thought dan or larry had said the eclipse rumors weren't true. They could have just been stonewalling us too tho.

There was a posting on PBN from a guy that was supposed to have to worked at AKA talking about it. Basically, the gist of it was basically that it was a joint project between AKA using the AKA internals with the board from Eclipse because they didn't like the boards that they had been using in the Vikes. They shared info throughout development until Eclipse suddenly stopped returning their calls towards the end of the prototyping process. Around the same time that happened, Smart Parts turned on their legal douchenozzle and basically stopped AKA from every being able to produce any electros. Not long after, Eclipse released the Ego, which looked a whole lot like the Evil Ehm. With AKA basically stuck, they didn't care that much, and they never had a non-compete signed. That was the general gist of the post.
