viking help?

hey all,

i just got a sweet DC viking, something i've wanted since seeing himurax13's stormtrooper vik several years back.

but it won't shoot. i'm guessing it's me...

WAS board, eyes, etc...
i air it up, turn it on (orange light), pull the trigger (green light), but all the bolt does is twitch back and forth.
if i do get a shot off it just goes back to twitching and def not working the way it should.

when i add paint, the bolt does basically the same thing, but if i do get a shot off it either goes 12 feet or chops and makes a mess.

just a side note that might help, i just got this back from jared at DC and he tuned it to perfection and shot a halo off...
so i'm guessing it's me...

have you tried bypassing the eyes?

the bolt twitching, a bit forward, a bit back, a bit forward, a bit back, is the board looking for a ball.
eyes bypassed it should just rip air with no twitch.

check all the board settings.

do you have the equilink cable to check the values?

It does sound like the eyes. To bypass them with WAS push the bolt forward and pull the trigger three times.

Does it say orange until you pull the trigger or does it go Orange to green by itself? Do you have a copy of the Pimp manual for the WAS board?

that's the first thing i replaced, i'm reading all the info in the PDF file now.
i don't have cables.

and it does go orange to green by itself.

i'd bypass the eyes first and see what happens. If it still acts up I would reset the board, then apply

Dwell:11
Debounce:7
Eye Mode:forced

Orange to Green but no flicker? If its 2.0 code (green flicker) you'll need the Pimp if its is still 1.6 (no flicker) your good with the AKA manual. I've got a cable if you get stuck.
