Board Opinion: WAS vs Pandora

So I just picked up Viking #A68 and it came with a Pandora board. I have a WAS board that I picked up for a project and am just curious what people's opinions of the 2 boards are. I've used WAS boards in the past and liked them. Based on what I've read in their respective manuals they look to function pretty similar. I know a Tadao USB board would be better but I don't want to go all out yet.

*EDIT* I have no clue what firmware either board has. Anyone know how to tell?

I... HATE... WAS.... BOARDS.

Period.

Lol Why though?

Not too familiar with either since mine came installed with a tadao board and a was board on the side(I never used it).

IIRC, they were both comparable in terms of features and reliability, and most people were divided on how they were programmed. People that hated counting trigger clicks went pandora.

Ya I'd prefer a Tadao just don't want to spend the money right now. What do you mean by trigger clicks? How else would you program the Pandora board?

The was board you pull the trigger a number of times to scroll through different settings and change them. I think in order to change settings on the pandora board you need to connect to a pc. I might be wrong though.

I have the cable kit to connect the Pandora board to a PC, but I don't currently have any Pandoras, only WAS in my Excalibur. Let me know if anyone needs the PC kit and I'll sell it!

It would appear my baby is an '02 Viking with a version 1 nelson board. If I had the data link can it, or any of the other above mentioned boards be reprogrammed to shoot ramping or any of the other currently used modes?

If not is there a board that will fit that has those settings?

no idea if a nelson can be reprogrammed but I believe WAS, Pandora, and Tadao boards have modes like that
