Exclamation Problem with SST

I'm stumped. Fresh from AKA, I have an SST that I cannot get above ~220 PSI and that's with the adjustment screw backed ALL the way out. Any ideas? I've taken it apart and inspected it and it all seems in working order just WTF?!

How did you determine the output pressure of the SST? Did you use an on-gun gauge or a reg tester (e.g., an ASA with gauge and relief valve)?

If you used a tester and it has a gauge rated for over 1,000 psi, test your tank's output pressure.

Used a gauge on the gun, a CCM SS-25. I want to say the tank is putting out enough pressure because my other reg is set to 400 PSI and functions with this tank. I've also tried all my other tanks with the same result.

Menso,

Is your other reg an AKA SST?

I think Superman's post is narrowing in on the likely cause. Your tank's output pressure will directly influence the SST's output range.

Build a little "test-o-magic" with some spare parts and test your tanks. My guess is that you are feeding your SST with a LP or SLP tank.

Have you disassembled the SST or has it ever been disassembled?

No, the other reg is a CCM. The one I'm having problems with is the AKA SST. None of the tanks I am using are LP or SLP. I've disassembled the SST, inspected it, and everything seemed fine. Put it back together with the same results.

I'm at a loss.

Cuts, abrasions, and worn parts and seals typically result in leaks and pressure creep.

Incorrect input pressure and parts assembled improperly typically results in output pressure limitations, leaks, or output pressure creep.

It doesn't help that no manual came with the regulator. I'm suspecting things over at AKA are still hectic so I'm reluctant to go to them with this problem right now.

Same issues here.
Purchased two SST reg recently can't get either one over 250psi, aka manual states 100-400psi, is there a spring/spacer option to increase pressure? Thx

Crossfire HP tank 850psi and reg tester with bleed option.
