| Yup, I had a Super Nova | any AKA news? I heard some blurbs and then last year at the IAO(I won my viking in the OGD) Mr. Alexander was talking about a new mech they were working on...did that get axed or are there any new rumors? I've been out of the loop for a bit, just trying to catch up.

| I heard this long ago also. Supposed to be a stacked tube mech or something like that. Apparently the idea was scrapped long ago. It seems there is no new AKA mech coming... unfortunately. Bummer. |

There is a guy on some other forum like pbnation that used a merlin extrution and the viking ram cartridge and valve setup to make a 2 tube electro. The left tube on vikings is just an air chamber with questionable usefullness - they say its for air volume but we all know it doesnt really needa be there. And thats the best thing ive seen. If someone made a full conversion kit as in you plug and play your viking internals into a 2 tubed merlin extrusion they would be in business. |

| I was under the assumption that it was there as a huge LP chamber, so maybe I should have said it helps with the very low operating pressure? I remeber someone bringing it up, thought it was efficiency but perhaps I am wrong. If they could have done without it with minimal changes, they would have. |

| MCB Member | The reason left lower tube <from behind> on the Viking is a supermassive airchamber is because the viking is made on the Excalibur extrusion- they didnt need to redo it, the simply left that tube that was actually being used on the Excal empty on the viking. It doesnt really need to be there..which is why a 2 tubed viking works basically if not 100 percent just as well as the vikings we shoot today. AKALMP always does argue that air volume changes things..Mitey Max air chamber and whatnot. It may to a degree..but the air chamber is not essential for a viking its just there to be economical as far as not making a new extrusion. |
